What is Thermography?
Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI), often referred to as thermography, is a non-invasive screening technology that detects heat patterns and blood flow in the body using infrared imaging. By capturing thermal changes on the skin’s surface, this tool can help reveal underlying physiological changes that may indicate inflammation, vascular irregularities, or early signs of dysfunction.
What Does Thermography Reveal?
Thermography is a valuable tool for identifying a wide range of health concerns by detecting subtle temperature variations that may signal:
Joint inflammation and arthritic conditions
Breast health concerns, including early thermal activity that could indicate abnormal tissue changes
Nerve damage or dysfunction, such as peripheral neuropathy
Circulatory issues and vascular disorders
Injuries to muscles, tendons, or ligaments, including strains and repetitive use syndromes
This technology is often used as a complementary screening method to support functional and preventive care.
Safe, Painless, and Radiation-Free
Unlike traditional diagnostic tools like X-rays or mammograms, thermography involves no radiation, no physical contact, and no discomfort. It’s completely safe and gentle, making it an excellent option for regular wellness check-ins or for those seeking a more holistic, proactive approach to their health.
Who Can Benefit from Thermal Imaging?
Thermography is suitable for both men and women of all ages. It’s particularly beneficial for individuals who are interested in:
Early detection of physiological changes before symptoms appear
Preventive screenings as part of a holistic wellness plan
Ongoing health monitoring without the risks or side effects of radiation-based imaging

Research Studies
“Thermography is found to have much better accuracy in identifying benign cases from the malignant ones with the classification accuracy of 92.70% as compared to 82.05% with mammography. This will result in the early detection of cancer.”

“Thermography is a new method for the evaluation of the inflammatory process locally within the atherosclerotic plaque. Several animal and clinical studies demonstrated the value of thermography not only for the detection of inflamed atherosclerotic plaques, but its use in new fields like in the evaluation of inflammation in the coronary vascular bed and the cardiovascular system.”

“Thermography is a new method for the evaluation of the inflammatory process locally within the atherosclerotic plaque. Several animal and clinical studies demonstrated the value of thermography not only for the detection of inflamed atherosclerotic plaques, but its use in new fields like in the evaluation of inflammation in the coronary vascular bed and the cardiovascular system. The finding in this work is the ability of the thermography to identify the benign cases from the malignant with a reasonably good accuracy of 92.70%. This classification is very poor, that is, 82.05% in the case of mammography. So, the technique of thermography is very useful in this aspect of avoiding unnecessary biopsies in the case of benign breast cancer and identifying the early cases of breast cancers. The foremost is the changes in breasts due to angiogenesis come much earlier as compared to anatomical changes detected by mammography. The successful identification of the malignant cases gives it an edge over the mammography.”
