Chiropractic Care Process
Your First Visit to Lighthouse Chiropractic
New Patient Appointment:
STEP 1: IN-DEPTH CONSULTATION
STEP 2: CHIROPRACTIC AND NEUROLOGICAL EXAM
Our comprehensive exam consists of orthopedic tests, a posture analysis, neurological testing, and more. We make sure to be meticulous and in-depth to get to the root of your issues. Our belief is that stress and inflammation on the spine can lead to nervous system dysfunction and subsequently many different health issues. During this exam we seek to uncover where the stress and inflammation in your body is stemming from. If indicated, our doctors may refer for x-ray or advanced imaging.
STEP 3: REPORT OF FINDINGS AND CARE RECOMMENDATIONS
We will then sit down and connect the dots between your case history and exam. We will explain how everything is tied into the symptoms you’ve been experiencing. Next you will be given the option to get adjusted (time permitting). Following that, we will give any additional recommendations on how you can start getting your health back. At Lighthouse, our Doctors specialize in combining chiropractic with functional medicine. Therefore, based on case history gathered during the appointment, we may recommend functional medicine in addition to chiropractic care. After that, you are in the driver’s seat and will decide how you would like to proceed with care.
Follow Up Visits:
Results without the lengthy care plans!
For your return visits the doctor will spend 10-15 minutes with you for your adjustment. With these adjustments, our goal is to take the physical stress off of the nervous system and decrease inflammation, allowing the body to adapt, heal, and recover. On average, our patients start at 1 visit per week at the beginning of care until spreading out their visits to maintain a state of wellness. Where most chiropractors make patients sign a long care plan, we encourage the majority of our patients to do a flexible, monthly subscription which doesn’t bind you to long term care.
Our adjustments build upon each other every visit. For the best results we recommend staying consistent with your appointments.
